Founded in 1969 by Ludwig Obwieser, the company is still family-run. In 2019, the tradition-steeped Tirolean company celebrated its 50th anniversary and can look back with pride at more than 80,000 lamps per day, almost 18 million marketed products per year, as well as three own production sites.

Mepal stands for well-conceived solutions as well as functional and timeless design. Since 1950, and as such for 70 years, the Dutch company has been producing innovative and practical plastic products for storage at home and when on the road. The Campus school series has been around for over 30 years. The company already recognised and implemented the topics of the current spirit of the age at an early stage: Health, nutrition, ecology, economy, and mobility play a strong role in the product developments.
All Mepal products are durable and 100% BPA-free. Most of the products are produced in the Netherlands and are delivered across the globe from the headquarters in Lochem.
